125 setup take 2

Traded a buddy an Xbox for a 125 moved the whole setup water an all back in 06 about six months later I got deployed so he took it back while I was in Iraq. Came home moved it again and it was great till 2010. Moved temporary and tanks this big don't need moved ever! So it went into storage anything living went to my buddies the live rock and sand went it tubs in storage. After 6-8 months I freaked out and bought a 20 tall, stuffed as much rock as I could in there and it ran till a week or so ago. I got a new house and got to set up my 125 again. I have close to half my rock was good and purple but it's gonna be a long waiting winter for me. Big order of snails in a month or so. I'm upgrading to led lighting too but it's a couple strips at a time.

Nice tank! I am waiting to start my first 150 Sw tank sometime after the new year.... It's killing me!!! It looks like you have bubble wands in your tank? Doesn't that mess up you sand or does it settle down?

Love the led lights I got for my tank 2 24 inch strips soon to get more. I want a 48 all blue. And I am going to get a big tonga shelf for the right hand side hopefully big as the whole 1/3 lol I got hood all designed and drawn now I need to get my nefew into woods shop next year and I'll have a really nice hood for cost of lumber. My power heads and controller are on the way. I need 80 lbs of sand it's a good thing I am setting this up now it will be ready for life this spring!

Thanks.. I added the 48 inch blue led as well as 2 korrila 1105 and just ordered a mp40. Also have a snail crew shipping Monday. Still looking good for a new hood next year. Took everything out of FX5 and just have two rubble pieces in there. Everything is doing good

Received my 30 lbs of rock and clean up crew today. I'll be cylcling agian now. I should have my sump up and running by this weekend, still coming eshopps 30 gal sump/fuge, eshopps hob overflow, mag 9.5, light for fuge, u return pipe, ato float switch, and an mp40. I'm done spending money for a couple months, no hurry whatsoever to add live stock. I'll add another picture once it settles down a bit. I might have too much rock, some will go into sump when I set it up I think.

It's a lot of rock idk how any pounds at all. Only like 3 pieces that I want to put in my sump. I really like how it turned out the back actually pretty open. The far left side is the only place I will open up a bit once my sump comes in. Tis fancy fused live rock is nasty for sure some really cool pieces though and no fish to kill so just have to wait it out. I'm going to have my return and 2 korrila 1105 on on end and the mp 40 at the other. Getting better all the time.

Having lots of live rock will help as a biological filter, but tank looks great!

wow lots of rock indeed It looks as if you have a bit of empty space on the right side of the tank. I would move some rocks to this side and create the empty space more between the rocks. I think it would make it look even better.

I added a controller to my led lights I like it. Planning to install my sump over the weekend. Should have everything I need by then. Gonna have a plumber friend come and help me hard line the whole system. I could probably do it but I don't want to chance it. Lol. Still need some sand and macros for my fuge but that can wait a bit for now.

I hate the mag pump. Plain an simple. It will be a good backup. I'm trying out the Jebao dc 9000. And also ordered a gate valve for the drain line I thought I did but I overlooked that one thing. I got my sump all plumbed. and painted the back of the tank yesterday.

Here is the orange it is growing on only red spots I noticed. Maybe something is happening to the red?

As it sits right now

The back is pretty open touches in only a few places.

Cleaned up everything so much better

Labeled my power strips so if something happens when I'm gone I can tell them to unplug x or make sure y is working.

Got the Jebao dc6000 and my gate valve installed. That's make life so much better. Anyways got everything tuned how I like and the sca 302 started making funky skim. Going Thursday to a Lfs I want a domino and some sand salt and cheato.

Well I decied to paint my stand remove the hinges and switch to magnets. And I'm going have a small hood made to suspend over the tank. Should all be quick except for hood will be a little bit. I'm might paint the stand soon.

The doors will be held with magnets. I plan to build a hood to somewhat match and suspend it. But only 3" or so above but I am going to mount it on pipes with ability to raise and lower it for WC and feeding. Still working this in my head but have a few ideas. Automatic curtain controls being one of the or the motor that controls a pool cover to raise and lower the canopy. and a piece of red vynal for the top rim with the canopy also white
