Lighting for quarantine?
I'm going to be starting the process of converting a 150g FOWLR system to mixed reef. I'm going to set up a 10g coral-only QT, with the intent on leaving any new additions in quarantine for at least 72 days (my DT is ich-free, at least on paper, due to no-exceptions TTM).
My question is, can I get away with an inexpensive Home Depot LED refugium light, like the one I have growing chaeto in my sump, or do I need a "coral-specific" lamp? Thanks in advance. |

Wouldn't a Chinese black box led work, those aren't too costly

10g difficult. Evaporation alone can cause salinity swings
