Avast Peg leg review
I finaly decided on a skimmer so I picked the Peg Leg. Since it was Christmas my mother got my the skimmer kit as a gift from my daughters . Justin from Avast was great to deal with , we talked and I explained the deal since it was 2 days before christmas. Justin made sure I got it before christmas . A+++ to him . Any ways here my take on the skimmer.
Here is the kit right out of the box After test fitting here are the parts glued together Here is the skimmer all glued up waiting to be wraped up for me to open Got the skimmer put in my temp sump, it was a tight fit till I get my new one built The skimmer make very fine bubbles Here is was I got out of the skimmer in just 6 hrs. Just to let you know this skimmer is running on a system with NOTHING in it but sand dry base rock so I was suprised what it has pulled out Oh here is my DT |

Any updates? I am interested in this skimmer and am curious as to how you think it has performed the last month.

Chadfarmer...curious why you say to take the return out of the water...what differences does it make?
I am new to saltwater...and looking for all the info/help I can get. I built this skimmer a few weeks ago...was a great kit, fun to build and seems to be working great. Took a solid two weeks to really get broke in for me. Does the return line out of the water make it more tolerant of water levels in the sump? Mine is very sensitive... Thanks, eric |
