35 gal. new tank setup, gotta cycle???

Hello all, and thanks for any advice now and future.
Have setup a 35 gal tank with 30lbs of livesand and 23lbs of liverock. Filtration is an aquaclear70, fluval 205 and a protein skimmer. I currently have a few fish and hardy corals. My question is have I/am I moving too fast? I never did see any algae, nor any nitrates from day 1. Does this mean my tank never cycled? Am I in for a wipeout? My tank has been running about 5 wks. Things look great in terms of water clarity and test results.

Try to get away from the thought of cycling is a point a tank gets to and then it's all clear. Also, just becasue the numbers show 0, and what not, doesn't mean your tank isn't still changing.

There is a ton of live that will grow in the live rock that you will never see. Also, there are lots of little things that will grow and you can see the population grow over time. It is all this little life that helps support the tank and keep the water quality the best it can be. Take your time.
