That would give you a ton of light. My tank is the same dimensions and I've started with two 4x80w ATI fixtures over it. I had been thinking that I'd add leds to them but after taking some par readings it probably wouldn't be necessary. If I do it it will probably just be to get a little more pop. The stand looks great btw. I need to skim mine still and it is definitely giving me some ideas. |

Cool. I'll be in Stockton until 5 or so, I'll stop by on my way home to get some frags if you're up for it.

Ok guys, going to need some expert input and advise. I need to purchase some lights to compliment my 3 Kessil A360W's. I am considering ATI 60" 4x80 Powermodules or Sunpower 6x80, or Buy 3 more Kessil A360We which are the new Kessils coming out.
what do you guys think? |

That is one heck of a beautiful stand you crafted, just had to say. Hard to believe you're a rookie at it from the finish work. Water and fish now!!! Just kidding

What skimmer do you plan to use? The sump is 20" tall, will you have enough space to get the skimmer in there?

Just curious, why don't you run the plumbing through the wall and into the garage?

Gotcha, I didn't look that close, just assumed the garage was on the other side. First thing that comes to mind is to just run plumbing through that room out of sight but I don't know the details or if you even want life support in the garage.

I have a marineland stand under my 300dd. After seeing yours, I bet you that your stand could hold 600 gallons!

I like how high you built it. That is the one thing I HATE about the Marineland stand is how low it is... I need to be on my knees or sitting to see in the factory stand. Plus how they think you can fit anything in a stand with 24" clearance is beyond me...

Did my background with Plastidip, turned out great. Used 2 cans, that cost around $7.00.

Now its time to get dirty, family members are gone from thanksgiving. Time for the breakdown, setting up the 300G stocktank and laying out the 18" travertine tile.
Filling up the tank. Transferred everything over..and set up the lights. Tank Moved!! Carpet ripped out and ready for tile install.. All done!!! |
