Hi guys
The nitrates on salifert say zero and phos 0.018 on icp ,I use an hanna for quick test which always shows phos higher that's the reason I topped the pellets up going change rowa today .I bought a icp test yesterday so will send that next week. I dose once a week the KZ coral system 1,2,3,4 and feed the coral every night at lights out with a mix of what I have available. I run a calc reactor, KZ skimmer and a reef dynamics pellet reactor. Thanks for looking and your comments.I did try AF at the start but it didn't work for me???

Are you just broadcast feeding the corals at night?

Hi
Yes, I used a culture of phytoplankton, rotifiers and pods for ages then switched to frozen at night, The corals polyps are out all day as you see in my pics I am a firm believer in feeding as i run leds and not just relying on fish that's just an opinion others have different views.

Hi
The replacement DaStaCo silicone tubing arrived so fitted asap as the alarm was going off every 3 hrs and was a pain in the middle of the night having to get up and reset it .Had a good go at the centre of the tank removing several pieces of rocks and corals as i wanted to thin it out and give some a good chance to grow. I found a nice frag thats been there for over 12 months and a ssc which grows in a bush form unusual to me and also clumsily broke a few but managed to get it together as i have a RP frag coming tomoz as i only have one space left then its to decide what to do about fish??? .a few pics

Sorry about the reflections

Awesome tank man! Love the birdsnest blowing up in the corner. I have always had trouble keeping them away from other corals because they grow so fast. How many fish do you have in there right now and what are they?

1 x foxface
wreck fish
firefish
helfrichi

lapisul wrasse
twistii wrasse
xmas wrasse

these are open to suggestion
tangs - clown,Purple,Yt , chevron

reef safe butterflys if there is such a thing
anthias x 6

I know I have a lot of fish but run pellets ,2 x GFO reactors and cheato

Hi
I have added 3 tangs a Clown,Chevron and a YT .The Clown is a bit shy at the minute just swimming along the bottom and I'm placing a rock with nori on to encourage him.

I can't tell you what the new pieces are but I can tell you your tank is still amazing.
The old growth is awesome.

Cheers, I have added some more rock to the back wall and put the spath in the middle at the side of a SSC that grows in a bush form that I got as a frag from the lfs and the original colony was superb until it started stripping on them and they gave me a frag foc .I will cut some reef bones to mount the new frags on and watch them on the sandbed at the front before I decide on placement. Ive also added a pair of redtails the male is out feeding all the time the female is no ware to be seen just hope its ok as I know they are difficult to keep.

Hi
After going through my sump to try to get the water params more stable i have cleaned all the equipment and replaced the pellets, rowa im using still trying to find the best ones, added a CO2 scrubber fed from an outside source going to do tests later the PH overnight only changed by 0.05.I have replaced the calc media to triton pretty expensive but it looks good.

Hi
I am removing the 2 radions and replacing them with another Orphek a V4 so it will be 2 inline across the front/middle and the V4 middle to back will have to se what that looks like as they will compare to halide/T5 spectrum so im led to believe ( in shipping at the mo). I took some shots through the front glass of the corals i could see.

Beautiful photo bomb!
The pale corals (6-9-10-13-14-26-27)are in such contrast to the rich, saturated ones.
Still beautiful.. are they new?

I have had them about 4 weeks I added more rock to the back wall and wanted to see how the flouro ones change colour, I am adding vitality as per biggles thread but going to back off until my new light arrives .The PE on them all is great all day I did lose one which was really pale and no polyps but wanted to take a chance. The last one I was told possibly a lemon SC looks better under lower light at night more of an orangey glow bit of colour in the tips its on the sandbed in a holder waiting to go on the back .I have tried a couple at the back under the radions and they didn't like the light hence the switch to the V4. Anybody know anything about the KZ acro glow I am thinking of trying it instead of the vitality

Thanks there are more but I cant get the lens dipper in now with changing the lights so these were through the glass. A UK magazine came over the holiday period to do a feature on the build which will be published in June with a short video on youtube I think. I hope his pics are better than mine I will post links for people that are interested .
thanks again Bill

Wow great macro shots! Are 10 and 14 the same coral? Also I am surprised you run biopellets and lots of gfo. You did not have that many fish before, but now it's better stocked. I like the choice in new fish, though I hope the clown tang doesn't outgrow the tank to quickly. Thoes are very smart fish too, I have seen them do tricks for food. Looking good man! Let us know how that new calcium reactor media runs.
