wow buddy, thank you soooo much for your kind words
It means so much and appreciate it big time

Tank still has a lot of distance to go through,in order to become like your tanks matt but i hope one day it will get there
Really glad you liked the vid too!You know how bad i'm with the cam in my hands
It was a quick and sloppy one but i thank god,at that time of the day i'm almost always in the house,so i'll make another attempt soon again.

Yeah you're right,i'll try in the next vid to do what you said.Lights, flow, etc
I'm not able to create reef porn yet,i leave that hard work to you guys
The only thing i like already is the aquascape too.
As the corlas grow they make their own scape and i'm curious to see what they will come up with

yeah that lottery ticket is necessary for that size of tank.I'm sure we are crazy(or stupid ) enough to spend 100% of it in the hobby

Thank you so much again,my dear friend, for your kind words

Mike,
The tank is so clean and the corals are getting very colorful, I simply love your scape, as the corals continue to grow, the scape is looking even sweeter! Love the new updates and pics, keep them coming

That video is really cool, it shows off how awesome your aquascape is. I can't wait to see those stags start intertwining with each other. Really awesome video, I would love to see another in the future.

So happy you like it guys, makes me try to make one with a bit better quality.

Thanks again,all of you guys!

Yesterday i sat to enjoy the new halo game.....before i could play one single map i heard the sound that the tanks makes when i close the return pump.
It couldn't be a power black out since the xbox was still open
So my jebao DC decided to die
Before one hole year of functioning
I wasn't worried.Have one spare eheim compact 5.000(which jebao replaced for energy saving reasons....one needs 25w and the eheim 78w).
I didn't even close the xbox, thought it would only take me some mins to plug it on.
But when we make plans,God loughs so the eheim didn't work either.
Probably the wheel's magnet is broken(for some unknown reason) because when i put it in the plug it seemed to have power.

So after a couple of hours trying to make one of them work....in vain...i decided to spend my time playing,so i put the one of the two heaters on the main tank and the temp controller's sensor there too and left the tank working separately from the sump.
Bp reactor, skimmer and the 2nd heater still work in the sump.
So a good chance to give a good cleaning to the sump while i'm deciding which my next pump will be.
Jebao is out of the picture this time

The only downside is the the tips of the bigger corals are left out of the water for 12 hours so they will probably bleach, but tthere is now problem.I'll cut them and they'll grow back!

I like the surprises that a tank or the equipment, come up with

Ahhh that sucks! If you want a suggestion, I'm absolutely in love with my M1 Vectra, not exactly cheap and longevity is still to be seen, but I feel good about the Ecotech name. I bought it because I wanted something silent, it definitely delivers in that. Might be something to consider.

Sorry for the late responses guys but i was spending so much time in the tank.
I bought a new jet to replace the broken pump(-s,eheim as my back up too)but it's stronger 4.500l/h instead of 3.000l/h so i had to deal with the extra flow and the air it was being sucked in the pipe and sooooo...soooo many bubbles!

But thank god i made it and now the tank is more silent than ever and absolutely no bubles in the sump.
Sadly i didn't believe what i was doing would work and i didn't get any pics
And now is a bit of trouble to do it.Will get some pics now though.

What has really blown me away is that the two corals that are near the surface stayed out of the water for 20+hours(Just their tips,1-2cm) and after they went back inside,i saw they hadn't died.
Just their tissue was a little whiter.Polyps where alright and after a couple of days they went back to normal, like nothing had happened.

Now i want to do some coral relocating but i spend so much time in cutting pipes, drilling holes, testing, failing etc that i can't even imagine getting my hands wet
Next week maybe
At least i cleaned my sump with all that!

WOW,
Cool update, really neat to hear about those acros being in dry air for that long, I knew they could stand hours in the hot baking sun during low tide, but I never really gave it a try! Good stuff Mike, hope you are doing well my friend!

I'm amazed that the acro tips didn't have more damage from being out of water for so long, sounds like some really healthy acros.

Glad everything made it !

I hate DC pumps. I would never ever do it again.
My return pump died two years ago and I freaked out called all local vendors, reached out to a local forum. To take a 4 hr drive on a Sunday come home and have the tank back up and running in less than 12 hrs. I applaud you being so calm lol

Yeah perry,i was thinking to cut off those tips but i couldn't find my cutter,so i left them there
I was really surprised when i saw those polyps come out!
I think the fact that they where only 1-2 cm away from the water kept them moist and their "slime" wet.Maybe if the distance from the surface was 5 or 10cm,they wouldn't make it.Can't say for sure.
Today their tissue has recovered 100%.

I've read somewhere that some brands where trying to make sunscreen from that slime corals have, when they stay out of the water.

Everything is good bud, thanks for stoping by

I was amazed too!
Maybe what you say played some role too!Now that you mention it,i think they are in my 10 oldest corals list,4+ years!

Thanks arlin!

As from one week before,i hate them too:P
Happy you found a solution back then!

Lol,thanks for that but i'm calm whenever the situation is out of my hands. What can you do,right?
When i realised that my back up pump didn't work i just laughed and did what i mentioned with the heaters etc
Then i killed(and got killed too of course :P ) some people in Halo
I hope i was playing with the guy who made that jebao and got him slashed

Hey Mike, glad you got through the dead pump without too much drama buddy
Acros are a lot tougher than we give them credit for so it makes you wonder how useless we are when we kill them.

Hate drama my dear friend and drama queens too
Yeah true story bud!Today i tested my KH.....6....they don't look like they are having any problems with that.
I believe that the longer they stay in our tanks the hardier they get,so they can forgive our mistakes,at least my mistakes
Despite the fact that they show no stress signs i raised it at 6,7 again.

hey guys:-)

I have to confess a sneaky/bello move
Three weeks ago i added an emperor.Wanted for sometime to add one angelfish.
Was close buying one conspic but eventually i backed out because of the cost and the risk not only of losing an expensive fish but for the corals too.
Only the idea of having spend some $$$$$ in a fish which could nip a lot and then decide if i would take him out,was enough to bail.
So here he is

My fish speak too andrew

At the first day he nipped a lot.Almost every coral but during the next he reduced it.
No real harm in the corals.Just a bit less PE on some.
I was worried he'd destroy the brain but he didn't....it was my MI which suddenly decided to give that poor brain a hard time
Started right after the emperor was in the tank but that's surely a coincidence.
Hope the coral will be able to deal with it.

Another surprise i got was from the dussumieri .....i thought i had
As he is getting bigger he develops a white sternum,a bit orange lips and not the colors a dussu has.
So i checked him up and he is eventually a leucocheilus/pale lipped tang.

continued...

Another thing that made me think it's not a dussu,is that white stripe before the tail.
Don't mind what that still yellow coerelius says:-p
In this pic his second white patch in tthe sternum is visible...again pay no attention to what that still yellow coerelius states...he can't even say me:-p

He sure is beautiful(at least in my eyes) as he grows up but i've read he can become aggressive.Up until now he is a gentleman...hope he stays this way.

Sorry for the bad quality pics guys.
I did my crime so there is no harm in posting some more crappy pics

You know how i can't keep my hands out of the tank:-p
I relocated some corals from the left side(hystrix and that slimmer) to the right side and made some more "branching" to give some got spots to the ones that moved from the right.
So atm tank looks like this
That bold spot in the front is from the brain which moved to back in order to give some more depth to the my eyes and just in case MI gets confused and leave it alone for a bit(didn't happen lol)

Things can grow when you leave them alone

Will try to make a vid,lol
