Hi All,
Not sure if the photo is clear enough. Found this growing in the sump. Any ideas? Thanks in advance |

A description would help, as well as a picture NOT taken under blue lighting. Based upon the picture, it could be sponge, but it could also be a leafy algae. Color, texture and a clearer picture would help.

Agree, that's a bad picture.
But I would guess q-tip/pineapple sponge.

I’m not great with marine tanks and even worse with photography
Thank you both. Think you have nailed it with the qtip sponge. |

Rule #1 of ID pictures is to turn the blue channel off or way down.. All that destroys proper color rendition and quite often doesn't allow a camera to focus properly.
Both are important for identification pictures..

I'm leaning toward pineapple sponges. Look them up and see if it matches.
