fan issue
I purchased one of this board a while back and life happens. So i am just now starting the build. The issue i have is that the fans go to full when the lights go to 0% (off) but ramp with the lights from 1% on up. I what tried 3 and 4 wire fans. any ideas. I tried to contact O2surplus but my score is not high enough yet>>>

Hi- I've attached a folder that contains a pre-compiled fan controller ".hex" file. In order to use it, please download the "Xloader" software found here- http://russemotto.com/xloader/ Use the Xloader .exe file to start the program. Set the board option to Duemilanove/Nano/Atmega328, set the Com port #, and set the path to the "perfected_fan_speed .hex" file. Tap the upload button. If all goes according to plan, the Nano will get re-flashed with new software, and your fans will function properly. Please let me know if you need any further help.

Hey O2, thought you might like this one:
LDD's with your board for Apex dimming. I think it took me a couple hours to wire this one, all that little wire is a real pain.

O2Surplus is his username here on RC, I'd send him a PM. (Private message)

Any more development on the ESP8266 Wemos control scheme?
I've tried getting the 8 channel Blynk setup from O2 working, and no luck. I also tried the SSLC16 project together, but I can't get it to actually load on the D1 mini. I've sent a PM to O2surplus on several forums (including here) regarding buying PCBs, and never heard anything back. Does anybody have additional contact info for him that they could PM me? |

Well, since several projects are dead in the water currently, I found a neat, simple, and affordable project for driving the LDD series-
Simple 16 channel driver with 12 bit resolution This should be a good way to go for a larger fixture with many channel requirements. |

Need a little help with O2surplus' 6 channel PCB
Hi all, it's been a while since anyone posted on this thread, but I need a couple of technical questions answered. So I thought I'd try here, seeing as how all the experts have posted here in the past.
I'm building a DIY LED setup using 12 Lumia 5.2 pucks and 6 of O2surplus' PCBs with an integrated Bluefish Mini. I tried a PM to O2surplus but, haven't heard anything back. My questions are: 1: the PCB has connections for up to 3 fans. Each connection has 4 pins (1- GND, 2- 12V, 3- Tack, and 4- PWM). My fans have 3 wires. I assume that means I must move the "Fan Jumper" to the 3-wire setting. So... which fan connection pins should I use, ie. 1+2+3 OR 1+2+4? 2: as my fans only draw .13A a piece, I will use only 1 SCW converter per PCB. Which of the 2 provided SCW connectors should I use - the one closest to the fan connection pins, or the other one? 3: I have 2 fans per PCB. Does it make a difference which 2 of the 3 available connectors I use? Thanks...

Expert opinion
Hi all,
I am having a weird problem with my LDD setup. I run the following setup: - LRS-75-24 - 2 x meanwell LDD1000h - The 14 up board from stevesled, basically it is 2 strings of 7*3 watt that are hooked up separatly. - PWM controlled by Arduin Now at full force there is no problem but as soon as i start dimming the LEDs with PWM my supply stars buzzing. I know this is Coil whine, but i wonder if you guys have any experience with this and perhaps maybe have a solution for this. |
