Cool

Ok. Here's some update, got the chance to visit my LFS yesterday and took a few pictures of the sump+refugium! Could not be happier, everything is very well built! Its made of 1/2" cast acrylic and i also have my reservoir which i did not take any pictures but will take some on sunday since both item will be shipped to my place on that day. Hard part will be fitting the sump under my stand. The only way is to slide it in on the side. Since there is only 3' space, i will need to push the stand+tank on one side....

Here's some pictures:

You can see the reservoir on the bottom right

The problem i am afraid to get is micro bubbles from the skimmer and the return from the refugium... wondering what i should do about it... maybe cover it with something to minimize the risk of microbubbles..

This sump/refugium is built like a tank!
The upper part is the refugium and the bottom part will stay like that, maybe some mangroove in the front part but that will be it.

Wow impressive sump !! It must be one of the nicest I've seen so far on RC !

Can I ask who built it ? I might be looking at getting an Acrylic tank in the future !

Thanks,
Ginzo

Woaah
I love custom acrylic sump

I was thinking how to put the 'réservoir' of water change ...
All in one aquarium is always complicated

Thanks! 2 of my 4 overflow will drain directly in the refugium which is the upper part of the sump, there will be only cheato and sand. Then, by 2 overflow there will go in the main sump which will contain mangroove and from there will go back in the tank by my dart pump. Nothing complicated, i just needed to play with my space and that where i came up, having my sump and refugium just over it The probe holder is the grey part. I am afraid of getting too much microbubbles, if so, i will need to find a way to minimize that.

Great build so far! How much water does the sump and refugium hold? What else (other than mangroves) are you planning on putting in the sump?

Thanks!

-Chris

The water and sump makes about 150G in total. I will have in the refugium cheato and a dsb, mangroove on the bottom part of the sump. That will be it
