I was not too sure of course at first, but after I ran about 6 months, I did a Triton test, and from Triton results, I know it is about right volume of supplement dosing, with just slightly twist on 2~3 things (see #1085)....

I used to have 6 Blue plus and 2 Aquablue spec (3+1 each side), but now I change to 8 Blue plus but turn ATI white LED a bit stronger at center position to keep the whole look not too blue.

Bring the Reef Home
(3 Years and 2 months)

iX + app (FiLMiC Pro + LumaFusion)

Still room to improve video quality, especially compare to a D700 shot video 3 years ago, but iX white balance obviously much better than i6

Will try to make a video after getting my Smooth Q stabilizer, and swap to friend's suggested iPhone video recorder, ProMovie Recorder ;-)

Hey man, I was wondering what affects on color you noticed from taking out the two abs bulbs? I noticed my blues were much better running them. How well do you think the white LEDs have replaced the white t5s in terms of coloring the corals to their potential? Tanks looking beautiful as always too!

The video is stunning, Shih. I liked the way you trained your staghorns in such a way that they do not cast shadow over the colonies beneath them.

I did not notice coral color degradation by removing aqua blue special, nor white LED has negative affect to coral. However, most people visit my tank they like coral color reflection under more blue light. It is quite struggle to me

Thanks. From now on I might post more video than still image. Well, second thought, I might get a Nikon D850 soon, it may change my mind back again. Haha...

The white balance and stabilization are still need lots of improvement. I found I miss two major features when I used FiLMiC Pro in this video, and got to get a stabilizer for next shot.

I did not trim the staghorn much (only when it grow too close to glass edge). My experience that staghorn grow in much better shape under T5 when compare other tanks under LED or MH, but I could be wrong. Welcome to share your observations here.

Thanks. It actually equipped weight sensor via MQTT to push total weight reading of my feeder to my iPhone in real time, and text message me when fish food almost empty. One friend did the funnel and mechanics part of work, the other used Arduino+ weight sensor for computing part.

Well, now we are in need of a video of how that is working?
Weight calculated feeding?
That sounds like the new "Food Guardian"

Yes, it will push total weight reading via MQTT protocol to my iPhone, and since it has all readings in real time, it will trigger a text message to my iPhone if detect food has less than 10%. I love it and hope Apex can make a commercial one.

BTW, the most challenge part is, since I insisted to put it on top of my ATI light system (see original picture), the heat cause deformation on weight sensor surprise us, and then a lot of temperature related calibration and material engineering apply in this device's development.
