Thompson Tang
I have had him for about two months now. I have noticed that he is not a grazer at all. He is more like a vlamingi, open swimmer type without the grazing mouth structure. Does this mean that he is still an algae eater? or more of a meat eater? He will eat seaweed selects, but goes after no living algae. He wont even eat gracelaria!
he is definatly a swimmer though. loves the open top half of the tank, and does not spend much time checking out the rocks. currently he gets a pretty stable diet leaning toward the algae side just because he is a tang. he does love silver sides, mysis, clam, and other meaty foods though.
