since the twin controller can oscillate the 2 pumps, what would be the advantage to connect it to the apex controller?

Here's the link to my update video. I love the wave effect. Looks great and my stuff corals and anemones are responding very well to it.

I feel like an idiot because all of this talk about different power supplies needed and not needed all seems to go right over my head. If i just pick one of the packages on their website will it come with everything I will need? I dont have any Jebao's right now and def want the dual controller but all the talk of fire on their website is starting to worry me that i wont buy what is needed and end up burning my house down from these.
Also, i have a 90g tank and am having a hard time choosing between the 2 25's or the 40's. What are your thoughts? Thanks,

If you select the Dual Controller with 2 pumps package. It will contain everything you need.
For the $10 you might as well get the power supply too. If you are still running the 90 gallon, you might want to go with the WP-25's though.

Do you feel you have more than enough flow with the option for much more available should you choose or are you running those pretty much max'd out?

I have a 240g display with another 260g sump and water change tank. I have 2 WP-40's and they are awesome. More than enough flow. I still run 2 Koralias, but I don't need them. I'm taking them out soon.

quick question... if i plug the dual controller to the apex system (power only, not actually controller by the apex) could i program it to cut the power to the whole unit during feeding time and turn it back on 30min after and maintain all its settings?
(sorry for newb question i am trying to figure out my setup before i order everything) |

Yeah, 75 Gallon, I would definitely go with the 25's... 40's will be like a hurricane in there.

Well, just pulled the trigger and preordered the 25s twin package and reluctantly paid the $38.50 for shipping. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be worth it when the package arrives.

It's just cause its shipping from Hong Kong. Once they're stocked in the NJ warehouse, shipping will be lower I'm sure. Just don't want to wait till the back order list is cleared up. But no, I don't think shipping is a deal breaker considering the price of most pumps.

Now you're just talking crazy talk. What is your option if you don't buy these? $600 for Tunze's or Vortec MP-40s??? These are dollar for dollar the best pumps for the money even with the $40 shipping.

Does this dual controller allow the pumps to sync? Like the vortechs, if you put both in wave mode, will they run opposite of each other?
