No other consequences. Your hypothesis is correct. Raising your effluent rate will reduce contact time and increase the ph of the reactor. Which will lower the amount of supplement it provides. Your alkalinity in your tank will start to gradually fall

You have the Easy Load II. It's thicker than the Easy Load. 8/32 thread by 3 1/2" will work good. I had to buy a 4" long and cut it down 1/2".

How do you adapt the 1/4 id tube to 1/4 od ro tubing? Do you use a plastic nipple or push the ro tubing into the pump head tubing?

Read the first 5-6 pages of this thread. Goes into explicit detail on how this is accomplished including links to purchase all needed parts.

I'm having trouble finding a good Masterflex on ebay for a reasonable price, so I started looking for an alternative.

Has anyone tried the Kamoer FX-STP?
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...021561158.html

It looks like a pretty nice unit for the price, even though it is Chinese made. From reading this thread, it looks like most people use the LS17 PharMed tubing. On the Kamoer listing it shows the PharMed tubing as an option, but I can't tell if the LS17 size would be compatible?

Is there any other reason why this unit may not be a good alternative to the Masterflex?

There isn't any issues I don't see except it's a unknown brand and so reliability is a bit of a concern. Most on here use masterflex cause it's a proven winner. Until some one uses the kaomer no one can verify the reliability or the unit. If you want to try go ahead and report back.

Official: Masterflex Calcium Reactor Setup Thread

A couple other options although I myself use cole Parmer

Some use the new spectrapure auto top off adjustable pump

Watson Marlowe? I think is the U.K. Based manufacturer of some great peri pumps.

Pacsun I believe sells a continuous duty pump

And finally I think GEO is hoping on the band wagon and release a peri pump For calrx later this year.

Cool, thanks for some other options. I'll look into them too.

I did read that the Pacsun pump was a re-branded Kamoer, but I cannot find where I read it now.

My kamoer has been running nonstop for a year but the dosing speed isn't high enough to keep up with my consumption so I just snagged a masterflex off of the bay.

There is no good one for this head. L/S 24 Pharmed alternative could be one but it doesn't last longer as L/S 17 Pharmed one. So, best thing is expend some bucks on a head that accepts L/S 17.

This L/S 24 thing was discussed through all this entire thread, but checkout page #98.

All,

I just aquired a 7550-90 drive without a head. What would be the best head / tubing combo to try to find for this?

Yoi can use head model 7518-00 with L/S 17 Pharmed tubing and fittings listed on post #3 of the first page on this thread.

Drop a line to greengeco82 he has one or two heads available.
