PS75 Skimmer - No Foam?
I ordered a PS75 skimmer just for kicks. Figured I needed something to skim my bucket of new live rock - but couldn't justify the money for a "real" skimmer. Seems to be the cheapest needle wheel there is? In any case. It doesn't produce any foam. Sure... there are plenty of bubbles in the chamber, but none of them actually rise off the water more than 2 or 3mm. I've tried turning the outlet down, but that only results in wet feet.
I have a new paperweight, don't I? |

Is there a way to adjust the amount of air the pump sucks in? Maybe it needs to suck more.. haha just kidding

well you do know that all protein skimmers need time to break in right?
Give it a week or two and see if it starts foaming or not. Also if you stuck your hands in the tank, this will throw off the water chemistry for a few days. D. |

Mine took a couple days to really start working. I get as many bubbles as my friends expensive berlin. Plus you wont get much foam if their isnt anything to skim.
