Apex Firmware Update - 4.04 Beta
If you want to help test the latest firmware for the Apex, then read on. Don't expect this release to be perfect - that is why it is a beta release. If for any reason you are not comfortable putting beta firmware in your controller, I recommend that you wait for the final release.
This release adds the following features: - Support for VDM module - Support for EB4 module - Enhanced graphing with support for multiple probes and outlets. - probe naming and configuration from web browser - Added weather profile type. - miscellaneous bug fixes. The firmware can be downloaded from: www.neptunesys.com/apex_4_04.zip Curt |

I uploaded the beta...graphing in Safari 5.0.2 does not work. Firefox and IE no problems graphing or anything else.

So far looks really good. Like the ability to graph the status of an outlet. Now if we only can get the output voltage on the 0-10v variable outputs.
Really looking forward to playing with the Weather Profile |

Or does your computer not "know" how open a zip file? If this is the case, download and install a program called WinZip (easily found with Google) |

So far, so good. W7-64bit-Firefox.
Thank you for changing the graph date to the 'end date' rather than the 'start date' on the graphs. That makes it easier to change from today to last 7 days without calculating the new start date (especially if the month-end rollover is in the window). I have been seeing a rather minor issue with the previous release that is still here. Wondering if anyone else sees it. W7-64b-Firefox, log into the controller and enter your credentials. Hit enter. The web page loading just spins forever. If you just hit enter on the address-bar then the page loads up correctly. This is pretty minor for me since I know to just hit the URL again. |

Thanks Neptune for the fix. The bug where PM1 and PM2 probes would not display after just a few hours seems to be fixed...or at least it has been fine over the last 12 hours.
However, the graphs are not showing at all for me in Chrome. I cleared the browser caches and still no luck. Anyone else having trouble seeing the graphs? Correction: it appears to work okay in IE. |

I am on the fence about upgrading to this beta but I have one question regarding the behavior of the iPhone app's graph display. I notice at the start of every month the graph basically starts from scratch and I can't see any data before the 1st of the month. The graphs on the web version are all showing data but every month the iPhone app starts over from scratch. Is this normal and if not is there a way to show the data on the iPhone app from prior to te 1st of the month that I don't know about?

HenryH, instead of clicking on the URL and hitting enter pressing F5 on any browser does the same thing.(aka refresh) I have the same issue as well with the old firm ware, haven't uploaded the beta yet.

Updated without any problems. Kicking the tires abit and I am finding that the Probe Setup webpage is not working correctly. It stalls and I cannot backpage, I have to navigate to a different website and come back to the Apex. This is with IE8.
Also, and this happened with the previous version, but whenever the Apex resets it dletes a huge chunk of data from the XML Outlet log. It does not delete the whole day's data just the last several hours prior to the reset. Todd

Profiles increased?
I would like to know if the number of profiles has been increased in the beta firmware? 16 will not be enough for the additional pumps and lighting with the VDM module. I know that I will be using well over 24 to start.

No, there are still 15 profiles (PF1-PF15).

When will the profiles be increased?
I guess then I need to know when the profiles will be increased? The VDM modules will not do me much good without increasing the profiles. I have 8 pumps each with 2 profiles and two sets of AI lights. Which I think will use at least 4 each. And I plan on adding another tank which will add another 6 to 8.

I did the update today and all is well. I really like the probe name renaming and the graphing. Also the web page loads wayyyyy faster for me it's very nice. Works on my laptop and my iPad.

Did notice one problem... My EB8_2 used to show amps correct typically .5 or so now it's constantly reading 1.4 even if everything is off...
