Just Got An MP-10qd-Questions

I am replacing an RW-8 and a WP-25 in my 46g bow. I just installed one mp-10qd and so far I am running it on reefcrest mode. I t seems to be moving water, but I'm starting to think I may need to get another one for the other side. What do you guys suggest?

Also, for those of you with mp's, what is your favorite mode setting?

I would use two -10 in a tank that size. Lots of modes you can use with two as well, especially if you have a controller with a reeflink or wxm

Think I'm leaning towards 2, plus it will put less stress on the single pump.

Two is much better for creating random movement. If you run them on opposite sides of the tank and offset front to back, you can create a great deal of movement.
I run my two on reef crest most of the day, then other patterns during the late day and night.
It would get better with controller such as apex wxm.
That said, you could probably get by with one running at higher power levels.

Lagoon is IMO the best mode.

Though right now I have all my mp pumps on constant speed creating a gyre flow.

I'm using a single mp40wes to turn the water in my 360gal. I only have a few hammers, frogspawn, and a torch. I can't even turn it up all the way or it's too much flow.

I have four MP-10's on my 65 gal. I run ntm 24/7 about 3 lights from 100%. SPS like the flow.

I think I want to pull the plug on a second unit. Are you able to sync the 2 pumps?

If you have the models that can do that. All four of mine are synced up.

Just pulled the plug on a second pump. Won't be able to sync them though. I don't have the wireless versions. Couldn't swing the extra $100 bucks on 2.

Pretty sure you can add it later on if you want.
