DIY Swabbie
Anyone here on RC want to claim this?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbSTl...os=zmswieWD6A8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AD9nR...eature=related What a great use for our Kalk Stirrer motor housing! I like the attempt at the spraydown system in the second video. Looks like it needs more pressure though? We'll be selling just the motors shortly, for anyone who wants to try something similar. |

i think the spraydown bars like on the bubble kings they use a small high pressure pump for this, they have quiet the setup for theyre self cleaning cup though and would take 3-4 controlled outlets on a controller to make work, i think they have a float switch when tripped when the cup is about full it injects water into the cup raising the water level in the cup creating a siphon to drain the cup and then shuts off.

If mr714 is in the RC house, please speak up. I will send a proper shaft seal to you, so you don't start any fires or prematurely corrode the motor.

I would venture a guess that they had or purchased a smaller unit and retro'd it to a larger skimmer lid. The wash down really doesnt look like it would do much.
ps: Love my Swabbie! |
