Good luck with the surgery. I recently added a kole tang to my reefer and so far so good in terms of getting along with the other fish including clowns. I feed 3 times a day plus a clip of nori every few days. I also added the tang last. The clowns are tough and feisty so can't imagine them getting bullied to death

Man your tank is looking great. I love that OP. 1 of my top 5 sps I think. I just got the tank transferred and waiting on parameters to stable and I would like to grab a few of the OG sps. Lol

My 30 liter tank
Hello actually i had a 30 liter boyu tank can anyone give me advise because it desnt had skimmer and chiller only a simple filtration i can make my fishes and corals alive if i add water if the water evaporates and maintain the water temperature but the aquarium specialist corals cant live without a chiller but last time my coral was alive until im on a holiday and forgot to tell my houskeeper to add water if the water evaporates.

30 liters is not too difficult to maintain. What else do you have? Pumps? Heated? Return Pump? Lights? Keeping a minimalist tank can be done, especially with the smaller tanks. Temperature, chemicals, solutions can swing really quickly. However, if you are monitoring it, it can be done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey, Everything is doing great! We actually did not lose any power. If we did we had several backup batteries for pumps, and a generator. The exterior of the house had some falling limbs but no damage to the house. How's your tank doing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's awesome to hear. I'm sure one of the lucky few who didn't lose power. I lost power about 11 and threw in a bubbler overnight and started the generator at 7 and run everything on the tank just fine. So didn't lose anything. I had a tree fall onto our new fence that we were able to snap back together.

It has been a long time!
Fts: So far everything is going well. I was able to bring my parameters up by mistake. Cal: 420 Alk: 10 Salinity: 1.030 (bringing that down) While doing some tinkering, I pinched my out line for the Automatic water change unit. So my tank had a lot of fresh salt water. Approximately 3-4 gals extra. Once I figured out what was going on, I quickly adjust the lines and everything is back to normal. Just waiting for the salinity levels to drop, and cut back on dosing Alk. Currently dosing Ca (45ml) and Alk (100 ml). Using the Red Sea powder formula, and I love it! Here’s a quick picture of the sump. I ended up ditching the Hd bulb and purchased some EBay Led strips. Way cleaner IMO. Corals and fish is doing great: Live stock update: Yellow tang Cleaner shrimp Emerald Crab Current live stock; Pair of clowns Three lyretail anthias Kole tang Yellow tang Six line 2 cleaners Conch snail Emerald crab Troucus snails, Red and blue hermits Onto some SPS I was able to acquire: - Palmer blue milli - JF Homewrecker - Walt Disney - Jkr - Sunset milli - RR ORANGE PASSION - Oregon Tort - RMF Acid Trip (recovering)

Quick update!
Added a few things this season. 1) quad of blue chromis, down to one 2) finally changed out the mp10 to two mp40s 3) RR Pink Cadillac 4) Aqua Delight Quick Christmas Eve Picture Looking for suggestions on additional Live Stock. More anthias? Con....one changing into a male? Bigger chromis? Seems like the quad that was acquired the largest survived, overnight. Probably because the tank mates beat them up? Wrasses? Mandarin?

Quick update. After a little hick up, the tank is back up and running stronger than ever. Had my Alk spike up to 11dk and lost a couple high end and colonies. Now that everything is stable things are growing, and encrusting. Here are a couple pieces and a FTS.
Most of the SPS had some burnt tips. After doing some water changes and lowering the Alk quickly(which was the bad part) I had to quickly reverse the effects by supplying the system with nutrients. This in turn was wishful thinking at the time, but after boosting the feeding and dosing; Acropower, ReefRoids, Fuel, Dr Tim’s SPS. This helped counter the effects of rtn and stn while kicking the SPS into grow mode and encrusting over the dead spots. It was a pain to see some higher end corals suffer and die, but it happens. Also, I shut off the Carbon and phosphate Reactor which helped with stability. Still doing weekly water changes and went back to the original dosing regiment. Stopped using kalkwasser because....well it was the issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
