Mcpuff Id love to say I did but we had two hydraulic lifts assist me and we just had to push it into place. Luckily I had a few friends show up and help. Got most of the start up equipment. Return pumps internal pumps, skimmer, sump and most of the sand. Just need lights, about 15 Chromises and LR to start her up! Still need a carpenter to finish the canopy and wrap the steel stand and wall. Going to start with 4 Radion 30 Pro G3 and gradually add a new set monthly until I have 8 in the tank. Let the fun begin

Great progress today. Orderd 4 radion g3 30 Pros to start. Also got the Apex controller, Tunze osmolator and the reeflink. Im looking for a smaller RODI unit I can use as a ATO. Everything I see is minimum of 75 GPD which is overkill. I have a 150 GPD that I plan to use to fill a 2-300 tank for AWC. Anyone have experience with the Gensis AWC system?

Hi Devaji I'm hoping mixed reef with SPS up top and everything else lower in the tank. Waiting to finish all the wood work and electrical. Waiting on lights but almost there. $$ and time are always in the way

Hoping to avoid one at all costs. Would have to have the chiller outside as I can't keep it next to tank.

Dude, it's looking amazing! This is arguably the most exciting part of the build for me..and I love having new equipment all over the house! It's going to look gorgeous when filled.

Seneye PAR meter and the seaswirls arrived.. What do you guys think of my flow. 2 vectra L1, 1 MP60, 1 gyre 150, 2 Wav and two seaswirls at end of vectra L1. May use both from 1 L1 and the other one use lo line at end? Thoughts? Seaswirls can only handle like 1000 gallons I believe. Once again thanks

Yes they have a way to set it up and they are going for 50$ on Amazon. Got my genesis, kalk stirrer, and 2 WAV pumps on the way. Carpenters are going to start the wood work when he gets back from Orlando next Sunday. Said it should take about a week. Almost ready to start. I figure Ill get the Calcium Reactor later on and the G4 Radion LEDS once they are available. 4 more should do the trick.

Very nice!
Do yourself a favor and setup a QT, I learned the hard way.

Which model kindle did you get?

Cheapest fire they got 8 inches. Definitely a must on the QT tank. Looking into setting up a 55 gallon qt tank so I can add multiple animals at a time to DT. Plan on keeping them in for 6 weeks at a time or so. What filtration would you suggest? A HOB wheel type filter?

I have a 29G bio cube which comes with its own pump and I used a set of leftover ceramic bio balls from marine pure for the biological aspect. I may get a small skimmer to improve ph value, though it may defeat the purpose on a Q tank but we'll see. A 29G for me is sufficient, I don't plan on getting too big a fish at a time as I like to watch them grow. I bought the bio cube for its simplicity and sleek look as I didn't want to see pumps, wires, etc. That's because where it's at its visible to all and i don't have a fish room . Wish I did

I'll luckily have my wife's office space. I am thinking of buying a double 55 gal stand. I'd use one for QT and one for fragging and maybe have some seahorses or small fish. I f I can pull off hob filters it would be great

Lucky guy. Great to see your wife is so supportive.

I have an extra room I can use but unfortunately it's upstairs and the tank is downstairs, as you can imagine to say it wouldn't make any sense to even attempt to use that room is an understatement. My fish room would be my garage/patio. Which I could pull off using the garage if I sealed it and put another dedicated a/c, I could then run all the piping I would need to do water changes from the garage, QT, hospital tank, etc...all that would = getting kicked out so I opted for the 29G bio cube. Wife insisted on the 14G, so I'll take the win
