Two 4 different 6 bulb T5 fixtures for 300 gallon?

Hey all. I have the option of getting two 4 foot T5 fixtures for my 8 foot long tank. I have about 6 sps frags, but have an order ready for many more saved for the near future. Would the 12 ATI bulbs be too much light or would it be ok? The tank is 24 inches wide and 30 inches deep. Lights I have now are cheap Chinese black boxes. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Also, each light fixture would have 6 bulbs each. I could get 8 bulb fixtures, but that may be pushing the bank, especially if I don't need that many per fixture.

24" wide SPS would probably do better with 8, but 6 would still be okay, imo.
