Looking good, Jae. Will the aluminum frame serve as the heat sink? How many of the frames will you need for your tank?

do you think the aluminum beams you are using will be sufficient for cooling the LED's?there isnt alot of surface area in those beams so im wondering what your plans are.

Chris , Jae did some test pieces , and they didn't get what you would even call warm . After running for over an hour , you could hardly notice any heat . The channel had a slight warm feel , and that was w/o a fan .

first heat test was used 3W 350mA almost no heat on C channel heat sink
now I'm using 3W 700mA, yes there is some heat but not hot. any air moving will help to lower Temp

Terry , The color temp of each LED is 18000-20000K , so we may not need any blur LEDs . We may add some blue LEDs later , just for Dusk-Dawn viewing
