Echinata is a type of acan they are hardy and mean they will kill coral that are to close but their requirements are moderate light moderate flow and they like to be fed.

Lords are less aggressive but can attack other corals if they are threatened but lords can touch other lords with no issues.

Acanthastrea is the genus name, and echinata (as well as lordhowensis and many others) is a species name. It's like, a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't necessarily a square.
