Halloween Hermit

Hey, Ya'll!

I don't know if this is the proper forum to post this, but I did not see anywhere for crabs...

Anyway, I have a Halloween Hermit, I've had it for a couple of months, and was wondering if it would need a larger shell soon? How big do these get?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey Kevrokr!

I can't tell you how soon you will need a larger shell, but halloween hermit crabs will eventually need a larger shell. They primarily like to live in empty cone shells from snails or Triton shells. At my local petco they have packs of 2 empty shells for around $3.

Hermit crabs never stop changing shells, even when full grown they get bored of their old shell and may find a slightly smaller or larger one.

Halloween hermits with blue knuckle hermits is an excellant nano itself.
