Par30 bulbs on larger tanks.
Hi all!
I have been lurking here for a while but Im just starting to post. I am working on getting all of the equipment in order before I start my tank. It's going to be a 72 gallon fowlr, led lit for energy sake. It's set up as an African cichlid tank, but in a few weeks I am going to convert it to saltwater with 100 # of lr and 70# of live sand. I went with par30's because they are small, low cost to run, and throw a lot of cool, bright light. I read alot about people using them on all small tanks, but few with larger tanks. I got 4 of them from boost led all with 90 degree optics, in the 14 k color. They light the tank awesome! So bright and no dark spots. Here is a picture. Comments welcome! |

Thanks!! I am also going to be adding a small 2 bulb t5 fixture on the tank with cool colored t5 bulbs to accent all different colors in fish. How does that idea sound?
