Aquarium sizes for the CS1 DIY Kit

I will be running a 40g main tank with a 30gallon sump would this skimmer be to much for my system. It will most likely be heavily stocked with fish and corals.

Hi Heath

Hard to say. That is right on the border of what I would consider a minimum water volume. I tell people with 75 gallon tanks that the CS1 is a good fit, but they typically have 10-20 gal in the sump, so 75-80gal total. You'll probably be fine if you're feeding a lot, that will give the skimmer something to do.
