Going out to the lake this evening on the boat, gonna watch the fireworks from the water. I might even jump in and get a little wet.

Yes. I live near downtown. Actually, I can see them from my house. The Shedd does a thing every year for employees and volunteers on the outside patio. It was a great time. I like the fireworks, but I cannot stand crowds and the crowds at the fireworks can be overwhelming. The Shedd had just the right amount of people.

I have like 3rd degree burns thanks to the insane fireworks I lit off at squirt's house....it was like NAM on the souf' side of the city last night

I hope everyone was thinking of our troops overseas!

Yes, it was. I took my dog for a walk and she was freaking out from the "war zone" south of my house. It made for a very short walk.

I couldn't believe some of the stuff I saw and heard going off...it was crazy....those couldn't have been illinois sparklers lol....my favorites are still the SATURN MISSILES!! (I think my new favorite may be the "Curtain call".....very nice.....)
