Is there a way to determine different sexes in pipefish?

Just curious if there is a way to determine sexes in pipefish, namely the Dunckerocampus pessuliferus - Yellow banded pipefish?

Thanks

Yes, the males have a brood pouch and carry the eggs and give birth to live fry.
If you look along the lower abdomen of the males, you will see 2 long flaps of skin, this is the brood pouch.
