my 120cube, some pics to share wit ya :)
ok so here are a few pics to show everyone some progress enjoy.... oh yea and can someone id the buttons(purple people eaters???) and also the acans with red centers or are they not acans thnx. sorry for the bad qual pics i for one suck with my DSLR and two i moved alot of rocks around bc i got a new fish (Blue throat trigger) still seeking refuge but looks to be peaking out righ tnow so hopefully it will be out in the open pretty soon for a lil photoshoot thnx in advance.

the palythoas are some type of people eater, dont look like purple people eaters to me, or at least defiantly not true ones. and yes, that looks like an acan echinata to me

scrape your glass before a photo increase shutter speed stop shooting in auto mode open up your aperture stabilize your camera and voila! great pictures. btw what kind of dslr. cool tank too.

thank you guys for the comments and the tips, i just got back from Fintastic! and omg FANTASTIC!! hahah my dad just bougt another tank.... and i got like 5 more corals... new photo shoot soon to come with the tips i just got thnx again guys....

lighting i have 1 400w HQI with 12k Reeflux housed in a Lumenarc III mmmm sound so yummy just typing it lol.... for flow i have mag 9.5 return and tomorrow i will be setting up my mag18 closed loop... i currently have 2 Seio 1100's.... my dad actually jsut bought a 90RR today was so excited i dragged him to fintastic and got a bunch of corals and he picked up a tank lol.... now i will have two tanks to look out my tank in my floor and his lol.... gotta love two fam houses lol. i didnt get to take pics of the new corals only bc i been helping him setup his tank so tomrrow hopefully i can try to take some good pics, see if i can borrow earls tripod

For photo tips to, you can adjust the white balance to get truer colors. Your manual should say how, one trick I do is to keep a piece of white (can be gray too) paper in the lense cap so I always have a white reference. Experiment a little and you can get some wild colors!
BTW great looking tank. Do you like the rock stacked against the glass like that? Do you worry about creating a dead zone and getting build up of detrius and algae? Just wondering as I am soon to be aquascaping. |

wallace expo disc gives you perfect white balance all the time. otherwise shoot in raw mode and adjust white balance through software like nikon capture nx. great close up. i'll send you some of my pics
