Best placement for seriatopora under LED light?

I've had a seriatopora frag for a few months. I only recently started dosing calcium though (yeah, I know) and it's looking better. It got a lot more polyps but I noticed they were longer on the side facing the light. I rotated the rock it was on and got the same result after a few days. I tried moving it more toward the center and higher in the tank but now none of the polyps are really fully extended. There aren't that many choices for placement in my tank since I originally set it up for zoas alone. I'm attaching some pictures. What do you think?

They do well in both mid and high light and require high flow especially when they get larger. That one looks like a browned out pink birdsnest. I had one that got quite large and had it about 4" from the water surface in a 40B under a 250w MH, it did very well and went from a 2" brown frag to a pink grapefruit sized colony. I also have had neon green and ponape birdsnest and they did well under higher lighting.
What LED light are you using?

They can handle a ton of light, but quality matters. Which LED you are using will matter.

I'm using an AI prime HD. It's not turned up to the max though; currently it only goes to 70%. If I turn up the brightness (over time, of course) do you think it will do better in more areas? I'm not sure I really want it where it is. Do you think my zoas and a hammer coral can tolerate the higher light? I have some zoas directly under the light right now but the place I have plotted out for the hammer is at the bottom in the corner, so it won't get as much light.

That is a good light and will grow sps. 70% is good maybe even a bit high for it right now but just give it time and see how it does.
