Scrubber light help
Hi.
I plan on building a led unit for a algae scrubber. I want to weld/epoxy casing to the heatsink as to make the light both strong and sturdy but also waterproof. What type of material and what type of plastic weld/ epoxy would be best to achieve this? Just to explain- after placing the leds on the heatsink I want to build a casing around heatsink. |

Acrylic for the casing and something like Loctite 20 minute plastic epoxy will permanently adhere it to the heatsink..

I'd make it so that you can service it if needed by simply screwing the casing to the heatsink vs fully sealing it to it.. Use below 60VDC as the power supply to feed the LED unit so that there isn't a shock hazard.
