Looking forward to being able to see the rest of the pics.

We actually discussed this quite extensively. The pipes that you see are large enough that if I wanted to, I could run some pex inside the pipes but after extensive consultation with the plumbers and builders, everyone is confident that this wont break or leak (its very thick plastic).

Cool, pex is good stuff, I used it in my house for re-plumbing. simple to use and durable. Around here that wouldn't work, they'd freeze... I used to live in phoenix, don't miss the heat at all

This tank is going to be too awesome not to be a reef. No one is going to be envious of a 1000 gallon FOWLR. We want to see 3' mushrooms and SPS like tree trunks. C'mon man if not for yourself do it for us out here who wish we could.

Lol. Let me get it finished first and we will see what it evolves into as a tank. 😊

It is not a problem with reuploading. You have a limited account and need to upgrade your contract with them. Basically they are saying that too many people have looked at your pictures/videos.

Nice build. I hope you have room for the oops I forgot to run that Apex data line/water line factored in. Curious to see how the plumbing flow works out. good job.

Sorry guys- been slammed with work and life. I'll get the pictures updated soon. Nothing new to report otherwise. Roof is getting loaded tomorrow. Windows start going in tomorrow. They will start wrapping the house next week probably. Plumbing, electrical. Sprinklers and insulation are still being worked on. I'll post more soon.

Just a FYI, I noticed in the pics it looked like you had some brass fittings on the pipe. Brass has copper which is toxic to the Invertebrates & coral. Once almost lost my tank due to a brass seal in a pump.

No brass. Just a temporary cover on the tubing. To keep all the stuff out of the piles. Plus- no reef planned. FOWLR.

Stand is being delivered Tuesday. Dry wall starts in a few week. After drywall, we paint, then the tank goes in. After tank and house is finished, cabinetry is last. I hope to be moved in by summer.

not to pile on, as it is amazing, and thanks for sharing; but do a reef from the start. soft coral displays are just as easy as a FOWLR(some say easier) and can be every bit as beautiful as a sps display.

I would love nothing more than a massive 1000 gallon reef in my tank. However, at some point, a reef is gonna have issues. At this point, possibly because we have spent over two years planning, saving and building our new home. The thought of having a reef crash is not appealing. Even the great chingchai has had issues with his magnificent tank. I'm planning on plumbing and designing the filtration in case I change my mind but at this point, my mental capacity is to stick with a FOWLR tank. who knows, I might change my mind but right now I can't get into it mentally. Stand is getting installed today. Photos soon.

Here is the stand:

I wish they would just allow you to upload files directly here- Ill have to tend to this later. My apologies folks- just have been super busy with life and haven't had a chance to take care of the photos that no longer display due to the high bandwidth.

Ill figure something out when I come up for air from work...

Why do you have a bottom cross brace on the left center legs, but not the right center legs (possibly center also, but can't tell from pic)
