Long term success?

I have always been fascinated by these guys. Has anyone had long term (3+ years) success keeping the crab and outer hydroids alive?

Here's a link to an old thread about them. The trick is keeping the hydrocoral alive, and keeping the crab in it. The thread explains it well.

Had one once. He abandoned the coral for a generic shell the same day I put him in the tank.
