Reviews of Seachem's Phosfiltrum?
I've ran Rowaphos for maybe two years now and as far as efficiency, it is IMO the best phosphate media out there. Issue is it is very fine(like dirt) and I notice it falls through the sponge divider of the reactor with time, drops to the bottom, and basically hardens.
I bought the new Aquavitro Phosfiltrum and it seems like Seachem tried to come up with something similar to Rowaphos, but the particles are larger and harder consistency to maybe hold shape while tumbling inside a reactor. Question is how does it perform? Anyone has maybe had a chance to use this so far? Thanks for all input. |

Have used it for 7 weeks and checked with Salifert kit, zero phosphate. Better than what Rowaphos did in my tank. The best thing is it stays in the same shape, no dusting and stays nicely contained between the foam disks in the reactor. I'm very impressed with this product.
