Omg JP he used old 3 channel PS units if I recall, how to compare with a 9 channel PS with T5 which the thread is about, what's the relevance??? Secondly if I would get a Mitras I would have needed 3 units which would have been ~1000usd more

I just got my PacSun the other day. Pandora S with 4x80w T5. I played a little with it on my computer and have had no problems. I agree with JP though that it would pretty easy to put the basic controls on the fixture itself with the more advanced on the computer. Maybe in the future.

I do not own a pacsun fixture but am considering it for my upcoming build.
I do agree with JP that some basic on the system control would be good. Keep in mind, this is just basic timer/intensity/color control, not the fancy stuff. Something like the basic AI controller (not the Director but the previous gen) shouldn't be hard to build into the system. Better yet, since it seems like a lot of people likes Bali, then why not make it the default then it will be plug and play. The fan and the bluetooth issues happen on a lot of electronics so it is not too terrible but would expect better on something this expensive. However, it seems like this is YMMV issue. The setup file issue is inexcusable though IMO. |

Thanks! I will most likely run Bali. If I get the itch I might play with the PAR table but it's not my top priority.
I also wonder why the setup file is being so bad for most people. I too can't run it and am running the program through the included setup CD that was shipped with the unit. Not a huge deal but still.

Anybody have any good settings for the PAR table they use? If so, post them!
