Corner Overflow Install or Alternatives

All,

I have a tank, with rear overflow holes down to a sump (outbound 1" line on the top left, to P/S in sump, pumped back to an inbound 1" line on the top right. Pics to follow). My wife prefers the very clean ambience of a corner overflow.

So, beyond getting a different tank, or seeing if the tank can be driled for a new corner overflow (e.g. Aqueon's), is there any way to conceal or otherwise reduce the visibility of the drain/return valve?

Thanks!

You can remove all the white PVC. Get a black elbow from Bulk Reef for your over flow and point it up, that's all you need. For your return, get a slip fitting locnline and plug it straight into the bulk head.

Who made the Rube Goldberg connection from the bulkhead to the line-lok?

It looks like 6 pvc parts where 1 or 2 should have done the job. If that were mine, I wouldn't like to look at that either.

Indeed, I think that's the big problem. There was a probably a reason for it (put the flow right over a coral formation or someseuch), but it's not immediately obvious now. I will see if replacing it (hopefully?) will solve our problem.

That being said, I'm perhaps a bit blind to the aesthetics. Maybe I should clear anything with you, Don, before I bring it home.

Kevin, thanks for the suggestions for the replacements. Again, hopefully this will be easily fixed.....

Interesting, thanks for posting that, BFG. I don't think it solves the low-fiz problem (forgot to add: rimless aquarium), but otherwise it's interesting (long, variable sized but fine teeth).
