how much flow is recomended? lps mainly

i have a 90 gal with lps and softies and a sebae anemone. i used to have a couple koralia # 3's but i didnt really like the flow pattern on them. i now have a pair of modded maxi-jets. the mj's seem like too much flow for my hammer. how much flow does everyone else have in a 90?

Umm Think its more about placment of the corals and what type of LPS ... and location of powerheads. I currently only have a kolia nano and a mj900 and my return from a rio26HF pointed at the front corners and does great, 2 dead spots where food collects but anemone likes one spot and the other I keep a short tentacle and tongue coral.

I have two Koralia 2's and one Koralia 4 in my 90g. All the power heads are hidden behind the rocks, and this helps to divert some of the strong flow, especially from the koralia 4.

I've got 1 Vortech on Pulse and 1 modded maxijet 900.

Any more than that and it's too much. I have a second Vortech on the way instead of the Modded Maxi-Jet.

I have a mag 7 for the return and two maxijet 1200's for surge controlled by an ACjr in my 75.

I keep mostly Hammers and Frogspawns.

I have 2 Tunze 6055 Nanos (usually on the lowest settings with the controller), and a Mag 7 return on my 76 gallon half circle. Plenty of flow for LPS, acros and montis doing well too.

I have 4 Koralia 4s positioned high on the back of my 130 gallon all pointing slightly down and at the front of the tank. I have a torch, tongue, and anchor LPS. A small birds nest and montipora SPS and 2 small soft corals. I also have 2 condylactis and 2 flower anemones. The flow coming from the back wall striking the front wall diffuses the force and makes it gentle enough for the LPS as none of them are in direct line of the powerheads.
