Anampses neoguinaicus (New Guinea Wrasse)

I would like to hear experiences with Anampses neoguinaicus, aka China Pearl wrasse, Black back wrasse, New Guinea Wrasse.

If you ahve kept or tried to keep, Please include, what you feed it. any tank mate compatability issues you have encountered, problems you've faced. Or pretty much any useful tips you have.

I had one for approximately 3 years. It came to me at about 3/4" long, so it was very small, and died at around 4" just this summer.

It was really pretty docile, and almost seemed oblivious that there were any other fish in the tank.

I never had a problem with it trying to jump.

It finally died because I introduced a fish without quarantining, and it turned out to have flukes and then developed ich. A combination of the two is what ended up killing my wrasse.

Great wrasse. I've missed it dearly since it died.

It'd eat anything that I introduced in to the tank.
