No I don't once I have an idea or task to be done don't stop till its accomplished.

Tank is full of freshly mixed salt water and will slowly put the tank online when I get home tonight since the reef crystal mixes to 10.4 alk my system alk is 7.6-8.

I plumbed this tank to return to a separate sump I had laying around from my old system. The sump than drains into my main sump. I did this so the new frag tank could be completely isolated from the system for quarteining or any other potential mishaps in main system/ frag system.

Plumbing and and wires still need to be cleaned up. Prob will use one chamber of this sump for just chaeto and other chamber for matrix/ or another MP block if needed.

I am about to set up a frag tank and interested in doing something similar. So if I understand the frag tank has its own sump, but, that sump also has an overflow that drains into your main system? You can just close a ball valve from frag tank sump and now it's seperate. Do you have a return pump in the frag tank sump running the whole time and a pump from display tank running the whole time feeding frag tank? Or just run a return from frag tank sump if you decide to isolate it?

Mike, I have 2 separate frag tanks the new one pictured above has a separate sump that drains into my main 90g sump that's for the entire system consisting of 120g main display, 65g Fuge, 80g frag tank. The new frag tank and sump can be isolated from the entire system by just closing one ball valve, but I would have to drop in a new return pump for that isolated system. Prob going to plumb this in permanently this week have plenty of pumps laying around and can easily be done with a few ball valves and T's. I currently have 2 separate return pumps to feed the system one is a pressure rated pump for main display upstairs and separate 12000 L/hr DC pump to feed Fuge, frag tanks, skimmer and reactor. Hope any of that ramble makes sense to you if not will try to clarify better.

Thanks Matt yea it's always nice to squeeze a few extra gallons into the system. Total system volume is around 400g now give or take for rock and what not.

Nice shots, great colours.
The top downs really show how good your corals are looking.
Good growth and really good vibrancy.
The last shot really shows off the variety in your tank.

Thanks guys, yea I'm very happy with the way everything has been looking and growth has been ok. Have recently pulled couple of small colonies and frags out to give some more room for others to grow out. Have all the extra room with the new frag tank so why not take advantage.

Well after pruning, moving, removing and pretty much rescaping the entire tank this is what I finished with. Created a good amount of new real estate on the right island for some new acros that I'm picking up tonight.

Left side

Right side

New real estate on right side

I just want to know how do you keep your rocks so clean? Not even a spec of algae.
