Broken pectoral fin

Hi all, i have noticed my spot-fin has one of the rays of his pectoral fin has broken. it has fallen off it just kinda flaps in the current.
So far it doesnt seem to affect him any way.
I was thinking buying some melafix tomorrow, is there anything else i should use will it affect my snails and few corals?

thanks heap

Patchy- skip the melafix, its an herbal suppliment. Not sure what it will do for the fish
Ensure you have great water quality, and feed him properly. Broken pec fin rays are not uncommon, however they frequently don't replace themselves, so it will flap in the breeze til it necrosis and falls off.
