How to keep artificial rock clean?
I converted by 125 to officially tank. I put artificial Walt Smith Rock in. I don't think I can pull it out and bleach it. I've also used copper in the tank so no invertebrates.
Other than scrubbing with a brush is there any other way to keep the rock clean? There is no hair algae but just Brown slime build up. There's got to be a magic pill out there ..lol. What about chemi Clean Last edited by 240gallons; 02/07/2018 at 06:29 PM. |

Less light
But withstanding biological control, and assuming you do not intend to have extravagant nutrient control on a fish only tank, reduce the lighting to the minimum needed for viewing (and fish sanity). And "brown slime" may indicate that it may be a bit more involved than that (i.e. dinos or cyano)
