Mini maxi detachment
Hey rc, I need to get this beautiful maxi mini out of a hole in a rock, I would rather not break the rock, and that could also damage it's foot, ive tried the ice method, hanging upside down, what else can I do?

not much you can do other than take the rock out of the water and hang it upside down for a very long period of time. it should release before the animal completely dries out. it will take a very long time, though....

HI,
I had the same problem and solved it easily: Shade the rock with dark plastic or something else. The Anemone needs light and it will move ouside - right in your hand ![]() Sven |

I had this same exact problem about a week ago. My maxi mini had been in the same crevice for over a year and was not budging. Powerheads didn't work, neither did hanging upside down or the ice so I ended up breaking up the rock very very carefully. I broke a chunk off near the foot so I could get at it better and then used the ice cube and rubbed the foot with my finger. It took a loong time but eventually he left to and I places him in his new home! I did not want to break the rock either but it was my only option. Just be very careful so you don't tear the foot.
