Hey Mike, actually the echinata seems to be winning. I've been breaking off the new growth of the green one so inthinknits stressed and not very tough. I really want the echi to win!

Thanks Josh, well then you'll like the following photo update. Plenty of algea.. Cyano is doing the rounds in the tank atm.. Haven't dosed to kill it yet. I'll give it some time.

I'm looking into getting another piece from a vendor out east but so far he hasn't responded to my inquiries..

Dan, thank you very much!
It's time (for better or worse) for an update on your thread.
I see the troubles aren't over, but at least things are changing and when they change, it means you can change them in the right direction.

Thanks, Matt, I would say 30% of corals are growing very well, another 30% are growing, about 20% are growing slowly and another 20 are still doing nuttin'
But I'm pretty happy in general at the moment.

Sergi, thank you for that very, very flattering addition to my thread!
This hobby is such a fantastic intermingling of art and science.
Once the science gets nailed down- to a certain extent- the art part becomes more prevalent.
Although, the science can NEVER be overlooked..
This thread ain't short anymore.. Good luck going through it!!
And thanks again for checking in.

And since I'm here, I'm going to post a few more shots.. Because I just want to.
Here's Furiosa..

Fiji fruit bowl.

Cool contrast..

Here's my little ice fire

And here's the very interesting but totally green coral growing directly below it. I love the growth pattern.. Too bad it isn't purple red and yellow!

Mike, thank you! When you tank 'grows up' it's not going to need to look like anybody else. It's in a class of its own!

Thanks, I hope to not disappoint!
The really close ups are with Canon's 100 mm macro L lens- so yes, a very good lens. But most of the wider shots are with Canon's EF-S 15-85 mm. Not an L but still pretty sharp.
I'm looking to buy the 60mm macro by Canon just it have a little bit wider field of view but still the sharpness of a macro..

Here's a few more..

This is supposed to be called Cherry Blossom. It hasn't started to grow yet, so I'm not sure what its potential is.. From uncle Raja.

This is a cool wild Aussie frag that grows excruciatingly slow.. Very cool looking..

Last one.. Classic red dragon. Always looks so cool up close..

Ok.. That's all my new shots...

Thanks, Zack. Thing have recently really started to take off..
Ok! I was in a macro mood, tonight.. Here's a teaser.. I don't think I'll be able to fit many or any photos in this post.. Here's one.
Spathulata

More to follow.. I've switched out my coral+ bulbs for more blue +.. Makes the photos come out even more blue which requires more 'warming' in post..
Really makes the colours rich...

These two shots are called very simply..
war!
Pink lemonade and orange passion have met and it's not going amicably..

Two mystery corals..

These could be a red robin and 24k.. Not 100%sure..

Supposed red robin and cultured Acro..

Here's the best shot I can get of my blueberry wine. It's so far back in the tank and close to the surface that it's hard to shoot..

Couple mystery pieces..

Got more.... MORE.... Mmmmmooooouuuuuhaha!!

Looks great! I really wish I had the space to start bringing home some of the mariculture stuff that my LFS gets. They shop at the same wholesaler as some of the really big name SPS vendors and get the same mariculture colonies. I just don't have the room to gamble on them coloring up.
