Dip for LPS
Hello all,
I'm coming from SPS so I always dip and QT my new corals. Does anyone here do that with LPS? Are there LPS pests that I need to be aware of? What dips do you use? Does CoralRX work here as well? Or Bayer? Does that work on soft coral too? Thank you! Whiskey

Good job having a dip and QT process. Dips for SPS will work for LPS too. My two favorites are Bayer and Melafix Marine. Iodine based dips are also great for post fragging or post sting disinfection.

I’m no expert by any means, but I dip them in Bayer then Iodine, rinse and into the tank. Haven’t had any issues yet.

Thank you everyone! From what I remember CoralRX and Revive are very similar, so it sounds like my current practice will work great on LPS as well.

I haven't added any coral in a while...when you say Bayer, is that the name? Like Bayer coral dip? Clearly you can tell I don't add corals or dip so it really is an ignorant question on my part.

@Wiskey - thanks, I will search on it here now that I have the name. I wasn't sure so thanks for the clarification. Have a good day!
Edit - assuming based on name, could be totally wrong, but if you like Whiskey give Green, Yellow, Spot a try if you haven't already. Sometimes hard to find but a good traditional Irish Whiskey I would also say or recommend their Green Spot Chateau Montelena but it was a bit "too" vanilla flavor for me.

That does look like an amazing whiskey! A little rich for regular drinking, but I'll add it to the list when I'm celebrating something.
