Regular super glue/crazy glue

Is superglue (the one you would buy anywhere, grocery store, etc) safe for equipment fixes on the aquarium? My hinges on the nano cube broke and i wouldn't want to make the tank toxic or anything..

Most superglues are just cyanoacrylate (CA) and are the same thing that we use for frags and stuff. The kind at the store is usually just thinner.

Most use superglue gel to glue down the corals inside the tank. No problem at all.

Is super glue "gel" the same as standard "superglue"? Is that an aquarium version?

I read some yahoo! answers and people were going crazy about how superglue is toxic to fish so I was kind of hesitant.

Go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy super glue gel. It's just thicker. I put a 1/4" glob on a plug then stick the frag on it and hold for about 30 seconds then put it in a container with tank water to set. It works like a charm!

A 1000 thanks to all. Bought it and now hopefully the lid hinge will not come off!
