Ollie’s 50g SC build

Here we go folks. I’m doing an upgrade from 30g cube into 50g SC. Due to space limitations I’m only able to upgrade to 50g. Got a good online Thanksgiving Black Friday deal from scaquariums.com and decided to pull the trigger.

Decided to upgrade into a thicker rubber seal. Thought about upgrading the bulkheads as well but my local store don’t carry slip/slip bulkheads so I stick with the ones that come with it......

And if you don't mind me asking, how much did you get it for during Black Friday? I'm looking at the same tank...

$599 for their BF deal. Now it’s $695 on their site. Wait for X’mas. I paid extra $40 for liftgate.

If you flip the sump around, you can straighten the plumbing up better. I have the 80G pnp system.

Will work on aquascape tomorrow and transfer over the weekend. It’s going to be a bare bottom tank. Using majority of my equipments from my previous tanks so will have the new SC return pump and skimmer for sale later.

Drained the excess and left 26g of water. Mixed it with Aquaforest probiotic reef salt. Will transfer the rest of the water from my existing tank.... considered as a big water change.
