Softies cuts..shrooms and zenias

Hey peeps:

Just a tip on cutting off shrooms and zenias for friends or to spread in your tank. I have had great luck with just using any desired size crab shell. Just make your cut, use the smallest amount of glue a the bottom of the shell (letting it dry and apply at the inside bottom) and attach quickly. Then I set down gently in the bottom of my tank in the sand. they grow great and the inside of the shell make a great pocket to attach to!

Any other tried and trued methods recommended out there for softies?

I just scrap off Xenia from the glass. Put some rubble in a plastic container and put the 'cuttings' in the container, make sure flow is not to high for them to get flushed out. And in a week or so, frags attached to get rid of.

For mushrooms, I read that if you are planning on cutting, to make sure a part of the mouth is within each piece in order for them to be viable. I feel that mushrooms and xenia attach rather quickly to any object, and even letting them sit on something will lead to attachment within a few days.
