MB7/vodka dosing an LPS tank

My tank has a few LPS corals, 1 sps, softies an zoas. I'm having a green hair algae issue and was considering dosing mb7 and vodka to export my nitrates and phosphates to rid my tank of this junk.
Has anyone dosed this in a LPS tank with success? Is it recommended? Please give me some advise on this. Thanks.

Before you do that, what are your tank parameters? What type of water are you using, RODI or tapwater? How old is your set up? Lighting and length you have them on. How many fish in your system and how often are you feeding them? Are you using any chemipure or phosguard to help take care of some of the extra nutrients?

All of these things can have an affect on gha growth. Until it is determined where the extra nutrients are coming from I would hold of the dosing to ensure it is not something else much simpler to resolve.

After doing more research I I've decided against dosing the vodka, to risky for me.
Here are some specs on my tank:
46 gallon bowfront
60 lbs live rock
20 lbs sand
Pc lights w new bulbs 10hrs/day
RO water not RODI
25% water change every other week
AquaC remora hang on skimmer
Koralia 4 ph
Cascade canister filter
No sump or refugium due to space
3 small fish
Mixed corals/ mostly LPS, softies and zoas
Good sized clean up crew recommended by reefcleaners.org
System has been running about 1 year
All tests are showing 0 on API test kit
Salinity 1.023-1.025
I guess I'm getting really tired of dealing with the algae and want it gone!
