Apex Lunar Led's VS Radion

Has anyone tried to run their Radions at night...like a moon light?

Have you tried Apex's lunar led's with LMS?

Which setup is better and why?

I have Apex so I wouldn't use EcoSmart...I know some people have used Radions and I think EcoSmart has a lunar setup also.
I'm exploring options...

I've got a few Apex Lunar Sims between my main display and my display refugium. If you are looking to use your moonlighting to simulate the natural moon phases, the Apex LSM is the way to go as it not only follows the local lunar cycle but it will also match the lighting to the moons intensity. This is useful for corals and fish that spawn based on the lunar cycle. If all you want is light to illuminate the tank and night and screw with your fish and corals, then the the radion lights will suffice.

I vote for the LSM as it actually serves a purpose and works great.

I would go with 4 lunar leds on your 5' tank.

I have a 6 foot 210, and have the LSM running for about a month now (( new set up )). For me, 3 is more than enough. My tank have 2 braces, so 3 sections. They are pretty much spread out so that each one is in the middle of each section. Really don't notice any hot spots.

Yeah I would also say three would be fine, four max.

When introducing new fish recently I was turning them off completely...also when I had a little hair algae recently I turned them off....not sure if it was necessary or not.

I have the tank in the living room, and there is a lamp on a timer. I figure when the lamp goes off, at least the lunar lights will help so it's not a big shock on the fish.

So how have yall mounted them? I am like todd me tions above with the two braces giving me 3 chambers.

I went ahead and bough the 3 light unit per yalls feedback. I have a moving light rack above the tank with a Hydra 52 in each of those chambers. So how do you mount them any pics?

I am going to get the LSM and three LEDs for my 48" 120 gallon tank. I am running metal halide lights my tank top is one I built. My pendants hang 8" above the water inside the canopy. What would be the best way to mount the LEDs to the canopy,as to get the best results of light around the pendants or will it matter?
