ADA Rimless Build
This will be my first documentation of my lastest tank build.
22g ADA Rimless 20g L sump/refugium Custom Stand AI Sol Blue MP10 Vortech Reef Octopus NWB 110 This project has been a major undertaking. I never realized how much work people put into their tanks and it has made me appreciate it far more. I have been in the saltwater hobby around 5 years owning a 55g, 40g BR Mantis, then a 40g BR reef, and now my pride and joy, this ADA rimless. Big thanks to Dublo8 from RC. Without his help, this tank wouldn't have been possible. Blood, sweat and saltwater couldn't be more appropriate for this build. I managed to get a razor blade half way into my leg and dropped the DT onto my toe, destroying my cuticle and losing a toe nail. But through all the bumps and hurdles, this tank turned out fantastic and I couldn't be happier. Tank will be mainly LPS, Softies, and Zoos/Palys but I will hand pick some very nice SPS and possibly a small Maxima in the future. Rock is MarcoRock that I epoxed together. Sand is Caribsea. Tank has started Feb 25th and currently cycling. Refugium lighting, heater, and Tunze are all temp until tank is ready. Photos are unedited, taken straight from my camera. Nice looking tank. The aquascape looks really good and should look great when your corals fill it up. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
On a side note, is that really a Reef Octopus NWB 110 that you have in the sump.

I was just asking because it looks different. Maybe I'm confusing it with another skimmer.
Anyhow, how's the cycling going? It's been a month now. I don't know how you can stand not adding anything to the tank. That's some willpower you've got there.

Diatoms are here!
One step closer to putting coral in! Thanks for all the compliments everyone. All coral will probably be on the higher end. A lot of Chalices, rare zoos/palys, and a few nice SPS frags. No colonies for this tank. Ive eliminated most of my common stuff but still have more to get rid of.

All coral, fish, and inverts are in!!!
My god, I didn't realize how much I had until I put it into a smaller tank. I'm going to have to purge the tank for only my favorites. Colors are insane with the AI Sol. Its a whole new world with these LED's. I'm gonna try and post pictures tomorrow but like everyone figured out, it's crazy hard to capture true colors with LED's. I've decided to keep the LMB and Six Line since they are both have great personalities. Probably going to get a nice pair of clowns and maybe one more open water swimmer.

New picture time!!
Testing first coral: IMG_4359 by Anthrax15, on Flickr Power O.O IMG_4406 by Anthrax15, on Flickr Skimmin' IMG_4421 by Anthrax15, on Flickr IMG_4425 by Anthrax15, on Flickr IMG_4413 by Anthrax15, on Flickr IMG_4404 by Anthrax15, on Flickr Now we wait a week, let all the coral acclimate, then stick em' to the rock. Fish seem to love the new tank and especially the rock Think its too early to start skimming the tank?

The overflow is a 300gph overflow from GH.com (PM for website) The website has guides on how to install their overflows. Many people have used them before and they are very easy to work with. Hardest part is drilling the tank.

Added a legion of snails to the tank Thanks Reefcleaners! Also got some goodies. Long tongs which help so much, a long turkey baster that I am coming to find out was a waste of money, test kits, and the new Vertex Cleaner Mag which is pretty rad.
